As a native French speaker currently living in the U.S., after studying, working, and building my career in London and internationally, I know firsthand how stepping out of your comfort zone transforms you.

Living and working abroad builds resilience by forcing you to navigate constant change—and in the process, you discover strengths you didn’t even know you had.

Beyond that, it fosters deep intercultural open-mindedness and a whole new level of adaptability. You learn to embrace diversity not just in others but also within yourself, shaping both your professional and personal path in ways you never expected.

But what struck me the most? The profound impact on emotional awareness. Being immersed in different cultures, adapting to new ways of thinking, and constantly redefining your place in the world pushes you to understand your emotions, reactions, and values on a much deeper level.

This is exactly what I support professionals cultivate in my coaching: greater clarity, confidence, and coherence in their career choices, and greater impact on their teams, by harnessing emotional intelligence. Because once you truly know yourself, you can navigate any challenge—wherever you are in the world.
