Whether it's transitioning from PR to teaching at the age of 30,

Or from teaching to coaching at the age of 40,

Today, I want to share with you the essential lessons I have learned from my two successful career transitions.

First and foremost, I want to share this metaphor that resonates with me so much...

A career transition is like a challenging climb—it requires preparation!

STEP 1: Taking stock of the "GEAR"

I enjoy talking about taking stock of the gear before embarking on the ascent.

It's the introspection that was necessary for me to assess where I was in my life at that stage:

Identifying my fundamentals (needs, values),

Adjusting certain parameters,

Overcoming limiting beliefs,

Distinguishing fears from desires,

Exploring my passions,

And sketching out a vision of something different, something beyond...

Then, there was this significant "identity migration," as Michael White aptly explains in "Rites of Passage."

Why identity migration? Because that's exactly what it was: I reassessed my identity when I had somewhat lost myself...

STEP 2: Separation Phase

This is the stage of life change: I took the leap, I crossed the threshold, with AUDACITY, DESIRE, FEAR, COURAGE, and DETERMINATION, always listening to my heart.

With the guiding principle of living life with fervor, being 100% alive!

STEP 3: The In-Between Phase

This phase was the most challenging for me.

Confusion, disorientation, new difficulties, despair, a strong urge to give up... and the list goes on. My doubts often plagued me.

I had to stay on course, hold the helm, believe in myself, and not let myself be overwhelmed.

This is where things get tough. In my opinion, this is the trickiest phase to overcome. And it's precisely at this point that we mustn't give up but rather mobilize all our resources for our well-being: taking care of ourselves, seeking out those who believe in us and our project, who have witnessed our abilities, and can provide the right words to dispel our doubts and restore our confidence.

STEP 4: Reincorporation Phase

This time, I'm fully launched. I'm going for it. I'm embracing my new understanding of existence and my identity. It's like a transformation, a profound change in my self-image, new emotions, a rebirth, and a lot of joy!

An alignment that makes so much sense between who I am, what I do, and how I impact the world.

As you can see, my career transition hasn't been easy, but it brings me personal and professional satisfaction every day.

At each phase of life, I listened to my desires and chose the path I wanted to follow.

Don't let anyone tell you that you're crazy! (I've heard that too!

Become who you are. It's already within you.

Reconnect with what truly resonates within you,

Believe in yourself, believe in your project,

Rediscover that 100% alive spirit!
