At 30, I stood at a crossroads, torn between a stable career in PR and the pursuit of something greater – growth, joy, balance and the feeling of being alive. And so, I embarked on a transformative journey, armed with a lifelong learner mindset.
Navigating the First Shift: At 30, with the responsibilities of motherhood on my shoulders, I took a leap that surprised many. Transitioning from PR to teaching was my first move towards authenticity. I yearned for more time and fulfillment, and teaching provided just that. Challenges came, but so did growth and an unquenchable thirst for learning.
The Power of Reinvention at 40: A decade later, I found myself once more at a crossroads. Many called it "too late," but I knew it was just the right time. Armed with the wisdom of experience, I embarked on a journey from teaching to coaching. Starting from scratch was a terrifying yet liberating experience. An expatriation to the USA fueled this shift, setting the stage for a fulfilling adventure.
Staying True to My Needs: Through both transitions, my North Star was unwavering – staying true to my needs. Every choice was made with authenticity, driven by the pursuit of joy, and fueled by the desire to feel vibrantly alive.
As I stand here today, I reflect on a life that has been reshaped by embracing change and adopting a lifelong learner mindset. The exhilaration of feeling alive surges within me, a testament to the leaps I've taken and the mountains I've climbed.
